Start with the kind of trip

Three routes.
Three different rhythms.

These are separate journeys, not a single cross-country loop. Choose a city stay, a summer road trip or a winter mountain base.

Our Canada collection covers Vancouver, Whistler, Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper, with nearby outings clearly identified. It does not cover the whole country. Route season labels do not guarantee current access.

The choices behind the journey

Less guesswork.
More time out there.

Find a base that fits the day, then make the reservations that let the plan work.

Make space for the place

Some days deserve
a little longer.

Pick the main outing, then let the rest of the day fit around it. Lake access, weather and booked departures shape the plan.

A base worth
coming back to.

A town evening, a lakeshore morning or the mountain on your doorstep. Compare actual locations before choosing the room.

A word from your curator

Let Canada’s scale shape the journey. I’d give Vancouver time for both city life and the water, keep the Rockies road trip spacious enough for lakes and changing mountain weather, and make Whistler about good ski days with a proper pause for recovery. The right season matters as much as the route.

Which season?

A summer lake trip and a winter ski week ask for different plans.

Read the seasonal choices

The Rockies route is summer-oriented. The 2026 Parks Canada lake shuttle season has ended; use the official page for the next announced dates. Whistler Blackcomb lists a scheduled November 20, 2026 Blackcomb opening and November 25 Whistler opening, subject to conditions. Vancouver’s city plan works year-round with weather alternatives.

Car or transit?

Match transport to the journey, not to the country.

Read the transport choices

Use walking and transit for the saved Vancouver city days. A booked coach can connect YVR with Whistler; Tourism Whistler gives about 2½–3 hours before delays. The Rockies route is a one-way car journey from Calgary to Edmonton, with a full Parkway travel day.

What needs booking?

Park entry, lake access and rooms are separate decisions.

Read the access checks

Moraine Lake is closed to personal vehicles, with specific authorized exceptions. Use a reserved shuttle or permitted operator. Jasper’s recovery restrictions vary by area; confirm the current closure map, tours and property services separately.
