I’d put Bow Falls Viewpoint on the list for a walk.
More about this place
Bow Falls Viewpoint is an easy way to feel the force of the Bow River close to Banff town. The broad cascade and river valley make a satisfying short outing, with the changing water and mountain backdrop providing the interest rather than a long hiking commitment.
Use the designated Bow Falls viewing area and allow about an hour to reach the viewpoints, pause and return to your arrival point. Keep this visit distinct from a longer riverside walk or the higher view at Surprise Corner; they are different perspectives with different access.
Stay on the maintained paths and behind barriers, especially where spray or ice makes surfaces slippery. Check current access before travelling and use the most suitable viewpoint for your mobility. The public viewpoint does not require an attraction ticket, although the national park's current entry arrangements still apply.
