More about this place
Shannon Falls Viewpoint is a short rainforest outing beneath a waterfall that pours down a tall granite face beside the Sea-to-Sky Highway. The change from roadside traffic to cool spray and rushing water happens quickly, making this a memorable stop without a long mountain hike.
Follow the maintained path from the provincial park’s visitor area to the signed viewing platforms and return the same way. Allow around an hour to enjoy the falls and surrounding forest. Longer uphill trails towards the Chief or the gondola are separate outings.
Wear shoes with grip on wet paths and stay behind the barriers. Check current park notices and use designated parking; roadside stopping is not a substitute when the lot is full. The walk pairs well with one substantial Squamish visit rather than every attraction along the highway.
