More about this place
Stanley Park Seawall Cycling is a ride between Vancouver’s harbour and its forested headland, with mountains, beaches and the city skyline changing around each bend. Siwash Rock and the passage beneath Lions Gate Bridge are some of the circuit’s most memorable sights.
Allow about two hours for the roughly nine-kilometre Stanley Park seawall circuit with photo stops, plus time to collect and return a bicycle. Follow the signed cycling direction and keep to the cycling lane. A guided ride can include additional forest paths and interpretation, with its own meeting point and runtime.
Bring a helmet, a layer for the breeze and a plan for wet weather. The seawall itself is free; bicycle hire and guided tours cost extra. Rock-scaling work closes a section from October 26 to November 14, 2026, with intermittent closures through November 20; follow the posted detour rather than assuming an uninterrupted loop.
