More about this place
Canada Place Canadian Trail Walk is a waterfront stroll beneath Vancouver’s white sails, with harbour traffic in front of you and the North Shore mountains beyond. Coloured glass and paving turn the country’s provinces and territories into a small journey across Canada.
Follow the thirteen sections along the west promenade towards North Point, pausing for views of Coal Harbour, Stanley Park and Burrard Inlet. At the entrance, look for the Coast Salish artwork created by Susan Point with Thomas Cannell and Brent Sparrow. If you are here at noon, listen for the Heritage Horns playing the opening notes of O Canada.
Allow about an hour for the outdoor walk, which is free. Bring a layer for the waterfront breeze and follow any event or terminal access signs. A cruise, Flyover admission or convention visit is separate; the public promenade fits easily beside a Gastown or Coal Harbour outing.
