I’d put Emerald Lake Circuit on the list for a walk.
More about this place
Emerald Lake Circuit is a gentle lakeside walk in Yoho where forest, water and surrounding peaks provide a complete change of scene. Completing the circuit lets you move beyond the busy arrival view and notice how the lake changes around its shore.
Begin at the designated Emerald Lake visitor area and follow the signed lakeshore loop back to the start. Allow about three hours for the roughly five-kilometre circuit with pauses. The drive from a Lake Louise base is additional.
Check current trail conditions and parking information before setting out. A relatively level path is not a guarantee of identical surfaces around the entire loop, and snow or wet sections can change the effort. Carry water, a rain layer and suitable shoes; lodge services or canoe hire are separate choices.
