I’d include Banff Upper Hot Springs for a look inside the caves.
More about this place
Banff Upper Hot Springs is an outdoor bathing experience in warm water beneath the Rockies, with a historic bathhouse giving the visit a sense of continuity. The mountain setting matters as much as the soak, particularly when cool air makes the water feel especially inviting.
Allow around two hours for admission, changing, a comfortable soak and departure. Use the designated Upper Hot Springs facility on Sulphur Mountain; the separate Cave and Basin historic site is not an alternative bathing pool. Admission is first come, first served and is sold at reception rather than through advance online reservations.
Bring swimwear and check the live opening notice before travelling. The facility is closed for annual maintenance from October thirteenth into early November in 2026, and weather can cause other interruptions. Follow the posted bathing guidance and keep younger children closely supervised.
