Stanley Park Ancient Forest Walk

Stanley Park Ancient Forest Walk is a guided encounter with the enormous cedars and firs hidden behind Vancouver's familiar waterfront. An expert's eye changes the forest: old photographs, tree forms and traces of earlier landscapes reveal a place far richer than a quick drive around the park.

Join the booked forest walk at its confirmed meeting point and allow about three hours including the introduction and return. The selected experience concentrates on the trees and forest history rather than trying to cover every beach, seawall viewpoint and attraction in the park.

Wear shoes with grip and bring a rain layer for damp woodland paths. The woodland route is not wheelchair accessible. Check the current meeting instructions and trail conditions before setting out; the separate seawall route can have maintenance closures that do not describe every forest path.
