Talaysay Talking Trees

Talaysay Talking Trees is an Indigenous-led walk that changes how you see Stanley Park’s forest. A Cultural Land Ambassador introduces the relationships between plants, people and place, sharing living knowledge rather than treating the trees as scenery alone.

The approximately ninety-minute walk follows the Beaver Lake forest area, with stories about plants used for food, medicine and materials. Allow two hours with check-in. The conversation, seasonal plants and guide shape each visit; it is a different experience from an independent old-growth forest walk.

Reserve through Talaysay and follow the meeting instructions for the Stanley Park Bus Loop. Wear walking shoes and dress for rain. Tours operate in ordinary wet weather, while extreme conditions can change the plan; ask the operator about access needs before booking.
