Durations match the saved default days. The island hop includes a flight day and a Hāna return day; none of the five plans includes a flight home. The final saved hotel needs a departure decision. Longer source ranges are customization choices, not separately reviewed day plans.
Where the day begins
Choose the base. Then find the room.
An island choice and a neighborhood choice solve different problems. Start with the days you want to have.
Lānaʻi is a separate island. The source includes its region label, but no saved Lānaʻi activities, stays or itinerary. No Lānaʻi hotel or route is recommended in this collection.
Give the day a focus
Places to build a day around.
History, black-sand coast, Hanalei and volcanic landscapes. Read the access notes before fixing the day.
I love Hawaiʻi most when the trip leaves room to feel each island rather than racing through a checklist. Choose one or two strong bases, learn the stories behind the landscapes, and let beach time count as real travel—not empty space between sights.
Before you go
A little planning. A lot more island time.
Keep the booking, the journey and the conditions in the same plan.
One island, or two?
Four or five days: keep one island. Nine days: give the island hop its own travel day.

The two-island plan pairs Oʻahu with Maui and leaves day four for the flight, airport transfers, car pickup and hotel check-in. Compare bags and ground transport with the fare; a short flight is only part of the move.
A beach day, a boat day and a summit day need different decisions.

May–October is the broad summer season; November–April is winter, with local rainfall and surf patterns. Check the actual shore, tour and mountain conditions. Keep a land alternative to a cancelled sea outing and respect closures.
Some of the best-known stops need entry arrangements before you arrive.

Haleakalā sunrise has a separate NPS reservation. Non-resident entry and parking reservations apply at Waiʻānapanapa, ʻĪao Valley, Hāʻena and Diamond Head. Hanauma Bay has its own opening days and booking system; the USS Arizona program uses Recreation.gov.
