Experience with a guide
I’d include Upcountry Maui Farm & Lunch for some time by the beach.
More about this place
Upcountry Maui Farm & Lunch is a slower, cooler counterpoint to the coast: walk cultivated slopes, taste what grows in volcanic soil, and sit down to a meal built around the harvest.
Oʻo Farm is the defining version, with guided crop tastings and an open-air lunch above Kula. Coffee, protea, lavender, and small producers nearby make this easy to expand into a full Upcountry day.
Allow three to four hours for the guided farm visit, arrival and included meal. Keep to your booked departure rather than treating lunch as a quick stop between other excursions.

Original curator notes · check current details.
Closed-toe shoes handle damp soil better than sandals, and temperatures can be much cooler than at the beach.
Reserve lunch tours early because group sizes are small.
