The five saved days use OUTRIGGER Kāʻanapali Beach Resort throughout. Hāna is therefore an out-and-back day from West Maui, not a short stop on the way to the next hotel. Start early, select fewer stops and arrange entry before setting off. Haleakalā sunrise is not in this saved route; adding it needs its own rested day.
Keep the journey workable
Rental car or tours; Hāna is a full driving day. Saved activity durations exclude airport, road, parking and check-in time. The final day also has a saved hotel; arrange a departure day or revise it explicitly.

Plan the day: Settle at Kāʻanapali and keep beach time flexible around arrival. Go Hawaiʻi estimates about 50 minutes from Kahului Airport to Kāʻanapali before traffic, car pickup and stops.
If plans change: Keep the first evening close to the hotel after a late arrival.

Day 2Central Maui & RecoveryMaui
Plan the day: Plan ʻĪao Valley around its non-resident entry and parking reservation. Maui Ocean Center is the other saved visit; choose the order around tickets and the West Maui return.
If plans change: If the valley is closed or conditions deteriorate, use aquarium and town time instead.

Day 3Hāna Coast StopsMaui
Plan the day: This is a Hāna day trip from Kāʻanapali with a return to the same hotel. Choose Waiʻānapanapa only with the required entry and parking slot; treat Keʻanae and Hāna town as optional around the long drive. An overnight requires changing the saved hotel plan.
If plans change: Shorten the route if rain, delays or daylight reduce the margin. Stay on legal open roads and do not try to recover time on the return.

Day 4Molokini MorningMaui
Plan the day: Keep Molokini as the principal outing and confirm the actual departure harbor. Add the drive, check-in and return rather than counting only the boat duration.
If plans change: Follow the operator’s cancellation and site decisions. Use a land day if conditions do not suit the trip.

Day 5Kapalua & North ShoreMaui
Plan the day: Kapalua and Hoʻokipa sit on different parts of Maui. Choose the coastal walk or the North Shore lookout as the main focus, particularly with a flight. The saved final hotel remains Kāʻanapali; departure is not included.
If plans change: Drop the second stop if the transfer is too long. Observe turtles from the designated viewing area, with space and no approach or contact.
