More about this place

Waldorf Astoria New York is a grand Art Deco hotel on Park Avenue, with restored landmark interiors and redesigned rooms that bring its long New York story into the present. The monumental lobby, decorative ceilings and celebrated clock make arriving feel like part of the trip, while the Midtown East address puts Grand Central Terminal and Rockefeller Center within a useful walking radius.

The current hotel has 375 rooms and suites, with a calm contemporary palette, generous layouts and polished stone bathrooms behind the historic exterior. Larger suites offer more space to settle in, but room categories differ considerably; the separately marketed private residences are a different product from an ordinary hotel reservation.

Lex Yard, Peacock Alley and Yoshoku give the property several distinct dining moods, from a lively brasserie to cocktails and Japanese dining. Guerlain Wellness Spa and the fitness facilities make it easy to build a slower morning around the hotel rather than treating it simply as somewhere to sleep.

  1. Reserve the restaurant or spa experience that matters to you before arrival, and check the exact room category rather than relying on a general suite photograph. For a smooth arrival with luggage, the hotel directs guests to its porte-cochere on 49th Street between Park and Lexington avenues.
