More about this place
Ramble Birdwatching is a two-hour nature session in Central Park’s woodland, focused on watching and listening rather than covering the park’s landmarks.
Meet your own group at Bethesda Terrace, cross Bow Bridge to the Ramble and spend the session on the public woodland paths around the Lake’s northern edge and The Point. Move quietly, pause often and finish back at Bow Bridge. Bring binoculars if you have them; no equipment, guide or guaranteed species sighting is included.
Spring and autumn migration can be particularly rewarding, while birds and visibility vary with weather and season. Stay on public paths, keep away from sensitive habitat and follow any restoration closures. This is an optional birding experience rather than another mandatory sightseeing walk.
