Brooklyn Bridge Walk is New York's classic skyline crossing, carrying pedestrians above the East River between Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn's waterfront neighborhoods.

Walk toward Brooklyn for the unfolding Manhattan view, then continue into DUMBO rather than turning around at the first tower. The wooden promenade is shared, exposed, and busy; the full experience includes photo pauses and the descent into Brooklyn Bridge Park.

Go early for breathing room or late for city lights, and bring wind protection outside summer. Stay inside the marked pedestrian lane and expect bicycles, runners, and uneven pacing around the narrow towers.
