I’d go to Prospect Park Ravine Nature Walk for a stop beside the Boathouse.
More about this place
Prospect Park Ravine Nature Walk is a one-hour woodland loop through the park’s stream landscape, stone bridges and shaded paths.
Start at Binnen Bridge beside the Boathouse and follow the watercourse upstream toward Nethermead Arches. Continue on the public woodland paths toward Rock Arch Bridge, then return through the Ravine to Nethermead Arches and Binnen Bridge. Allow an easy hour for the roughly two-kilometre circuit, with brief pauses for cascades, pools and birds; use the official trail map and posted diversions rather than entering restoration areas.
Wear shoes suited to uneven or damp paths. Do not enter the stream or scramble onto waterfall rocks, and keep clear of wildlife. Long Meadow picnic time, the lake circuit, zoo and Brooklyn Museum are separate experiences.
