Prospect Park Long Meadow Picnic

I’d put Prospect Park Long Meadow Picnic on the list for a stop beside Brooklyn’s broad central meadow.
More about this place
Prospect Park Long Meadow Picnic is an hour of lawn time beside Brooklyn’s broad central meadow, with space for a simple picnic and a relaxed break between city visits.
Choose an open public section of Long Meadow, reached from Grand Army Plaza at its northern end or the Third Street entrance beside the Picnic House. Bring your own food and a blanket; this is a focused picnic/rest stop, not a tour of the entire park. Follow posted lawn closures and keep paths and sports areas clear.
The Ravine nature walk, lake, zoo and Brooklyn Museum are independent experiences. In wet or cold weather, replace the picnic with a suitable indoor stop rather than promising the same lawn experience year-round.

Original curator notes · check current details.
Choose a patch of lawn and let this be a real pause rather than another stop to complete. If you are fitting the picnic between larger visits, leave some of the hour unscheduled after eating.
