I’d go for TB Place Roma if you want a stay with a rooftop terrace. The views are part of the appeal.

More about this place

TB Place Roma is a boutique hotel in a restored seventeenth-century palazzo near the Spanish Steps, pairing contemporary rooms with a central base in Rome’s shopping quarter. Choose it for walking between historic sights and returning to a small city hotel; it has no on-site parking, so arrange vehicle arrival with the hotel rather than expecting a hotel car park.

The rooftop terrace gives the stay its strongest sense of place, with views across the city and space for an aperitivo. Le Colonnette serves Italian dishes with Roman influences. The private Balnea De’ Fiori spa has a sauna, steam room and hot tub; its 90-minute sessions and treatments require separate booking and should not be assumed to come with the room.

Classic rooms accommodate two adults, while larger categories and suites offer different layouts: select the exact category and occupancy when booking. The sampled Classic rates include breakfast, but check the terms of your chosen offer. A staffed 24-hour desk supports arrivals; check-in begins at 14:00 and check-out is by 11:00. Allow separately for Rome’s city tax and any dining or spa extras.
