Rome, at a human pace
A starting plan, with room to choose.
Rome Escape gives you three saved city days. Prioritise Ancient Rome, the Vatican and one walkable area; MAXXI is a separate northbound outing. Both routes select Otivm as their city base.
One major booked visit at a time
Keep the Colosseum/Forum block as the first day’s anchor. The Vatican Museums already include the Sistine Chapel; St Peter’s Basilica has its own approach. The saved lists include more choices than a relaxed day can hold.
Compare museum and reservation choices →Keep the neighbourhoods together
Trastevere and Gianicolo pair naturally. MAXXI in Flaminio and the Spanish Steps are additional legs, not a short chain through the centre. Use transit when the longer walk would crowd out the visit.

All default stops and actual overnights remain readable before the planner opens. Day notes identify optional additions without changing saved membership. Choosing dates or editing the route still needs a fresh feasibility check.

Day 1Rome
Plan the day: Ancient Rome, then choose a short centre walk. Allow roughly 4–5 hours as an editorial planning budget for the Colosseum/Forum block, plus entry checks, lunch and transfers. Navona, the Pantheon interior and Trevi are choices, not compulsory additions.
If plans change: Keep the booked archaeological block and choose one nearby evening stop. Move the historic-centre interiors to another day.
