The Dolomites in June

June can suit a mountain trip when your chosen lifts and trails are ready. Check early- and late-month dates separately; a summer calendar does not establish snow-free walking.

Plan a June trip

Before you set off

Choose the walk after checking the opening

  1. Opening date is not a trail-condition report

Check the exact lift and the walk beyond its top station. A working cable car does not confirm a circuit is suitable for your experience. [4]

  2. How should I pace the first mountain days?

Choose one main mountain outing a day, leaving a spare choice for a weather change. Keep the Sorapis terrain decision separate from the calendar.

  3. Before fixing the mountain day

Confirm the chosen lift or road, the actual trail conditions and the return for your travel date. Keep the next overnight in the plan. [4][1][2]

Questions before you go

Does an open cable car mean the trail is ready?

No. Check the route beyond the top station as well as the lift. Remaining snow, closures or unsuitable terrain can change the walking choice. [4]

Should I keep an alternative to Sorapis?

Yes. Choose Sorapis for its exposed mountain terrain in suitable conditions. A Braies shore visit is a different experience to consider on another day, with its own access plan. [5][2]
