I’d go to Tofana-Ra Valles Ski Area for a gondola ride.
More about this place
Tofana–Ra Valles Ski Area is Cortina’s broadest ski sector, combining accessible Pocol and Socrepes terrain with Olympic pistes, high-alpine Ra Valles, and serious black-run options. Mixed groups can separate by ability while remaining within one recognizable mountain system.
Start from the Freccia nel Cielo valley station on Via dello Stadio, with parking at the departure or the lift base recommended by the live report, then choose progression terrain before moving higher. Advanced skiers can evaluate Olympia, Vertigine, or Col Druscié A only when open and appropriate; no itinerary requires those pistes. Allow time for inter-sector lifts, a hut lunch, and a conservative valley return.
A Cortina-area or compatible Dolomiti Superski pass is required. High wind, cloud, avalanche control, and race preparation can close upper lifts or individual pistes. Guided skiing is optional; lessons, equipment, food and drinks are separate from the lift pass. Decide the group’s maximum piste grade before boarding the first lift and name a lower-mountain meeting point.
Allow four to seven hours onsite, from a shorter ski session to a full lift day with normal breaks. Hotel approach, equipment collection and any separately booked lessons are additional unless included in your selected product. Keep to open marked terrain suited to the group.
