I’d include Porto Flavia for a bit of local history.
More about this place
Porto Flavia is an industrial-heritage port cut into the sea cliffs near Masua, where tunnels once carried minerals straight to ships below. The guided visit follows the former loading system toward the opening above the water, with Pan di Zucchero filling the view beyond the cliff.
Book a timed tour through the municipal operator and allow one to two hours for arrival, check-in, and the roughly 50-minute visit. From the nearby parking area, walk to the ticket office and arrive at least 15 minutes early. Closed shoes that fully protect the feet are required; sandals and flip-flops are not accepted.
The complete route includes an external stairway to the lower gallery. Weather, heat, or safety restrictions can shorten that section, so confirm the route if those stairs or the lower-level view are essential to your visit. The upper gallery may be accessible with assistance after an individual assessment; the lower stairs are unsuitable for some mobility or health conditions. Ordinary pets and strollers are not admitted. Keep beach time at Masua separate from the tour.
