More about this place
Bosa Town is a riverside town of colorful houses beneath a medieval hilltop castle. The bridge over the Temo gives a memorable view of the pastel façades, while the lanes climbing behind the riverfront reveal a quieter side of the town.
Allow two to four hours for the riverfront, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, and a wander through the old quarter, with time for a café or food stop. The upper lanes are steep and stepped; choose a shorter lower-town route if the climb is uncomfortable. Park in permitted visitor spaces and explore on foot rather than driving into the narrow historic streets.
The Malaspina Castle and its church are separate managed visits, with admission and opening hours to check before climbing. A boat trip on the river, beach time at Bosa Marina, or a coastal drive also needs additional time. The public town walk has no general admission ticket, and late-afternoon light can make the riverside especially appealing.
