Buonconsiglio Castle

Buonconsiglio Castle is Trento’s principal historic complex, combining a fortified medieval core, Renaissance palace rooms, frescoed towers, museum galleries, courtyards, and formal gardens just beyond the old town.

The experience is unusually varied: visitors move between architecture, interior design, precious art, archaeological displays, and the celebrated Torre Aquila fresco cycle. The gardens offer a quieter counterpoint and make an easy place to pause for an espresso or a light bite after the interiors.
