I’d go to Pedra Longa for a walk.

    More about this place

Pedra Longa is a dramatic limestone pinnacle that rises straight out of the sea along Sardinia’s eastern coastline. Visible from miles away, the formation is a striking landmark where sheer rock meets clear water beneath the Baunei cliffs.

A paved road leads toward a small parking area, with short walks to coastal viewpoints and the rocky shoreline. The approach is narrow and winding, so allow time and drive cautiously. This works as a brief scenic stop without committing to a strenuous mountain hike.

Longer coastal paths continue beyond the viewpoint, including the route toward Forrola. Choose a route suited to the time, daylight and terrain rather than treating the wider Selvaggio Blu as an informal extension. Wear shoes that grip on uneven rock, and keep back from exposed edges.
