Gorropu Gorge Hike

Gorropu Gorge Hike is a mountain walk into a limestone canyon in Sardinia’s Supramonte, where enormous walls rise above a boulder-filled streambed. It combines a rugged approach with the close-up scale of one of the island’s most dramatic landscapes.

The panoramic route descends from Genna Silana, while other approaches and guided packages start elsewhere. Choose the complete route before setting off: the climb back to the pass is demanding, and a jeep option does not remove every walking section. Confirm its pickup point and the connection back to your parked car with the operator.

Wear grippy hiking shoes and bring water, sun protection and enough time for the return. Canyon sections become progressively more difficult; follow the staff’s route and weather guidance. Admission is paid at the canyon entrance, separately from any guide or jeep package, and the current operator requires cash.
