More about this place
Cala Luna Hike is a rocky coastal walk from Cala Fuili toward a sandy cove framed by limestone cliffs and caves on the Gulf of Orosei. It is a rewarding option for fit walkers who want the beach to be part of a longer outing rather than only a boat stop.
The route starts above Cala Fuili and repeatedly climbs and descends through Mediterranean vegetation. Allow several hours for walking, plus beach time; rocks can be slippery even when dry. Parking near the trailhead is limited, and hiking shoes, water and sun protection are essential.
Return on foot or arrange a boat to Cala Gonone before starting. The boat arrives at the harbour rather than the Cala Fuili trailhead, so include transport back to the car. Sailing times and beach access depend on the season and sea conditions; confirm the last usable return and do not rely on a late-afternoon walk having a boat available.
Ordinary pets cannot complete the daytime beach portion under the current regional beach restrictions.

Original curator notes · check current details.
A boat return to Cala Gonone still leaves a separate journey back to the Cala Fuili parking area.
