Reserve a start time, choose a focused route, and leave the option to continue after a café break instead of trying to clear every gallery.

Reserve two to five hours from the timed entrance. Go first to the Gallery of Honour and Night Watch, then choose one secondary theme—Dutch history, decorative arts, ship models, or Asian art—before taking a café break; a room-by-room sweep is exhausting and unnecessary. Every visitor needs a start time, including many passholders. Arrive with minimal luggage, use the cloakroom, and download or rent interpretation only if it supports your chosen route. The building is large but lift-accessible.
