More about this place
Anne Frank House is a memorial museum inside the canal house where Anne Frank, her family, and others hid during the Nazi occupation. The preserved hiding place and documentary material create an intimate, demanding encounter with persecution and individual testimony
Admission is timed, online-only, and sold exclusively by the museum; steep stairs and a high step make much of the historic house inaccessible.
Reserve one hour inside, but arrive at Westermarkt 15 minutes before the timed entry and use only the museum’s official ticket allocation; guided neighborhood walks do not include house admission. The route moves through the original rooms and steep annex stairs in a fixed, quiet sequence, with no opportunity to reverse direction. Travel light because large bags are unsuitable, use the museum’s accessibility information if stairs are a concern, and allow time to absorb the historical material without rushing.

Tickets are released every Tuesday at 10:00 local time for visits six weeks later. There is no legitimate third-party admission inventory or waitlist.
If you are also choosing a Jewish Quarter walk, consider taking it beforehand for broader historical context. It is a separate experience and does not include Anne Frank House admission.
