More about this place
Amsterdam Pride Canal Parade is a major LGBTQ+ boat parade moving from Oosterdok through the Amstel and Prinsengracht. Decorated boats, music, advocacy, and enormous waterside crowds turn the canals into a celebratory civic stage
The 2027 parade is August 7 from noon to 18:00. Choose a viewing zone early, respect barriers and residents, and expect slow movement after the route closes.
Plan this as a six-hour crowd event, not a short parade stop. Pick one official waterside viewing zone, arrive several hours before the first boats, and remain there rather than attempting to follow the canal route through closed streets. Bring water, sun or rain protection, and minimal valuables; toilets, mobile service, and public transport become congested. The parade itself is free, but terraces and hosted viewing areas require separate tickets, and boats on the route are not general spectator transport.
