Chamonix-Mont-Blanc · Plan the mountain days

Different mountains. Different days.

Choose the ski area for the group’s ability and the day’s conditions. The six-day saved plan moves between separate valley sectors; the final Vallée Blanche option needs a qualified guide and its own ability check.

01

Four resort days, not one continuous circuit

Brévent–Flégère offers linked, exposed terrain above the town and Les Praz. Grands Montets starts from Argentière and has a stronger advanced-skiing identity. Balme uses Le Tour and Vallorcine approaches. Lower, partly wooded Les Houches is a different area with its own pass decision. None is a guaranteed bad-weather fallback: check what is actually open.

02

Buy the pass for the days you will ski

Mont Blanc Unlimited lists the main Chamonix sectors, Les Houches and sightseeing sites, with conditions depending on product and duration. The operator explicitly excludes the Grands Montets summit. Check the exact lift coverage before paying; a pass does not reserve Aiguille du Midi or establish that terrain is open. Do not infer access from the pass name.

03

The final day is a choice

The saved last day contains both Aiguille du Midi and Guided Vallée Blanche. Treat the cable car as the approach for a confirmed guided descent, or take a sightseeing visit instead. Do not book two independent outings. The guide describes Vallée Blanche as unmarked glacier terrain and requires sustained steep, mogulled black-run ability, fitness and specified equipment. Keep an ordinary resort or town day available.

04

Keep arrival and departure realistic

The starting route has an arrival day, four ski-area days and a high-mountain choice on day six. Arrange equipment before the first full ski day and do not promise a long-distance departure immediately after glacier skiing. If the group is new to skiing, ask a ski school for suitable terrain and lessons rather than following this advanced mountain plan unchanged.

A starting plan, ready to adapt

Six days in the valley.

Arrival, four resort days and a conditional high-mountain choice. The complete saved plan keeps its original stops and five Héliopic overnights; change the order as conditions require.

Good to know.

Are Chamonix’s ski areas all linked by lifts?

No. The operator identifies Brévent–Flégère as the exception. Other areas need valley transport, so check the outbound and return connection before skiing.

Is Vallée Blanche suitable for every resort skier?

No. The guide requires sustained steep, mogulled black-run ability in normal conditions, with stronger skills needed in fresh snow. It is unmarked glacier terrain; a qualified guide determines whether the outing can run.

Are the published opening dates guaranteed?

No. The operator’s calendar is provisional and subject to snow, weather and operational constraints. Use the live bulletin each day, including summit-lift exclusions and separate site maintenance.
