Chamonix-Mont-Blanc · Choose your base

Choose the base before the room.

Stay in central Chamonix for town evenings and flexible valley connections. Choose Les Houches deliberately for its own location. Treat Montenvers as a special mountain overnight, with rail access planned around it.

Start with the decisions
Refuge du Montenvers above the Chamonix valley

01

Central Chamonix: the flexible starting point

Héliopic and Le Morgane suit the Aiguille du Midi side of town. Pointe Isabelle is near the main station; Alpina, Hôtel de l’Arve and Hôtel Mont-Blanc offer other central settings. Central does not mean ski-in/ski-out: Argentière, Le Tour and Les Houches still need their own connections.

02

Les Houches: a different village, not a central address

RockyPop’s actual address is in Les Houches. It has a bus stop opposite and parking, according to its official site. Compare that location with your ski days and evening plans before choosing it for the whole trip. Check the current bus timetable rather than assuming the advertised frequency will fit every season.

03

Montenvers: make the overnight the experience

Refuge du Montenvers sits above the valley at the Mer de Glace railway destination. It is not a road-access substitute for a town hotel. Confirm the refuge’s opening, the last train, luggage arrangements and onward departure before booking; do not use it as the default base for daily resort skiing.

04

What the saved route actually uses

Chamonix Mountain Focus keeps Héliopic as the saved overnight on days one through five. The sixth day has no saved hotel. The other seven properties below are curated alternatives, not included reservations or automatic substitutions. Check exact-date rates, room occupancy, taxes, cancellation terms and availability on each stay page.

The curated collection

Eight stays. Different settings.

All eight source stays are included. Exact-date availability, room rates and booking terms belong to the individual stay.

A starting plan, ready to adapt

Six days in the valley.

Arrival, four resort days and a conditional high-mountain choice. The complete saved plan keeps its original stops and five Héliopic overnights; change the order as conditions require.

For a sightseeing trip, use the place guides and current lift calendars to make a separate plan. This winter ski itinerary is not a ready-made summer walking route.

Good to know.

Do all these hotels lie in Chamonix town?

No. Six are central Chamonix choices, RockyPop is in Les Houches, and Refuge du Montenvers is at the mountain railway destination. The source’s Chamonix group is a curation area, not a guarantee of a town-center address.

Which hotel is saved in the six-day ski itinerary?

Héliopic Hotel & Spa is saved for the first five nights. The final day has no saved overnight. This is itinerary membership, not evidence of a reservation or live room availability.
