9 places
  1. 01 · Ine waterfront

Enjoy the public waterfront without entering private boathouses or blocking working access. Staying in a funaya does not open neighboring homes to visitors.

  2. 02 · Ine village

Keep the stroll at the village’s pace, using public paths and respecting residents. Build the last bus and meal arrangements into the day.

  3. 03 · Ine Bay

Choose the actual boat departure, meeting point and current operating status. Wind or weather can change the plan; a village walk is a separate alternative.

  4. 04 · Ine, northern Kyoto Prefecture

Allow for the uphill approach and a different perspective from the waterfront. The short viewing time does not include the journey from Kyoto.

  5. 05 · Amanohashidate, Miyazu

This viewpoint is separate from Ine village. Add the onward bus or return connection and check the particular lift or observation area.

  6. 06 · Arashiyama, western Kyoto

Make the western district the day’s focus. The bamboo path, nearby temples and riverside walks have different entry arrangements and visit lengths.

  7. 07 · Fushimi, Kyoto

Choose between a lower shrine visit and a longer mountain-path walk. The saved allowance does not establish that every traveler should complete the full ascent.

  8. 08 · Higashiyama, Kyoto

Allow for the uphill approach and crowded historic lanes. Special evening openings are separate from the ordinary visit and need current dates.

  9. 09 · Gion, Kyoto

Follow posted access and photography rules. Give residents and working geiko and maiko space; arrange an authorized performance or experience separately.

Before you set off

Leave room for the journey

Read the actual day order

Amanohashidate is separate from Ine. Day three’s saved overnight is in Kyoto even though its source group is Ine; allow for the actual move and arrival arrangements.

Choose the main experience

A list of several places on one day does not establish that every outing and connection fits. Choose what matters most and make the rest optional.

Questions before you go

Must I visit every place?

Use the list to choose. Current access, travel time and timed reservations may require removing or replacing stops.
