Fjallsárlón

The park lists the B3 Breiðármörk trail as 15 km and 4–5 hours, rated challenging. Treat it as a planned hike with transport arranged, suitable conditions and your own drinking water. Keep that separate from the shorter B4 lagoon loop. [16][17]

Take the signed Fjallsárlón turnoff from Route 1 between Skaftafell and Jökulsárlón. The national park places the lagoons about 10 km apart. Use current road conditions when planning the drive. [14][9]

Checked October 15, 2026: the operator lists free visitor parking near check-in. Toilets and food services are available by the car park; check current opening hours. This is separate parking information from the paid Jökulsárlón and Fellsfjara zone. [13][9][6]

The park lists B4 as a 1.5 km circular lagoon walk, about 45 minutes, rated challenging. It starts behind Frost restaurant and follows a marked gravel path. Choose how far to walk around your footing, conditions and available time. [17]

Shore views leave your timing flexible. The operator lists its classic boat trip at about 75 minutes, April–November, subject to conditions. Add check-in time and follow your booking confirmation: public pages give different arrival buffers. [15][13][14]

Use Fjallsárlón for its glacier setting, Jökulsárlón for another lagoon perspective and Diamond Beach for the coast. If time is tight, choose the experience you want most and leave space for the rest of the southeast route. [9][1][2]
