Diamond Beach
Diamond Beach is Fellsfjara, the sea-facing black-sand shore beside Jökulsárlón. Combine it with the lagoon, but keep expectations flexible: stranded ice is part of a changing coastline, not a guaranteed photo opportunity.

Parking and cost
Checked October 14, 2026: the published base vehicle fee was 1,110 ISK for a car with up to five seats. Parka’s online form lists an additional 89 ISK transaction fee. One zone covers the lagoon and both Fellsfjara car parks until midnight that day. Check the final charge for your vehicle before paying. [5][6]

Car parks serve both sides of the river. From the lagoon, follow the marked pedestrian passage beneath the Route 1 bridge. The park advises against walking over the bridge. Use local signs rather than crossing the road to reach the shore. [2][4]
