Glencoe Lochan Circuit

Glencoe Lochan Circuit is a gentle waterside walk where mountain reflections and tall trees supply a quiet version of the glen's scenery. It gives travellers a specific short route without needing to commit to a steep Highland climb.

From the designated lochan car park, follow the waymarked Lochan Trail around the water and return to the start. Allow about thirty minutes for the 1.6-kilometre circuit and pauses. The separate Mountain and Woodland trails have different surfaces and gradients and are not part of this simple loop.

Check current notices: the lochan route is temporarily graded Easy rather than fully all-abilities, and a small section can flood after heavy rain. The approach driveway is unsuitable for motorhomes. Use legal designated parking, wear grippy shoes and consult the visitor information if you need a suitable alternative arrival plan.
