I’d put Stac Pollaidh Ridge Hike on the list for a walk.
More about this place
Stac Pollaidh Ridge Hike is a compact but steep mountain walk with extraordinary views across Assynt and the Summer Isles. The lower ridge provides the reward for ordinary hillwalkers; reaching the true western summit is a technical scramble and is excluded from this experience.
Begin at the designated Stac Pollaidh car park, follow the established path around the mountain and climb the signed ridge approach when conditions permit. Return by the approach path or the established lower circuit according to current guidance. Allow about four hours including pauses and a careful descent.
Carry navigation, food, water and waterproof layers, and choose the walk for settled conditions and suitable experience. Rougher and boggy sections remain even where the main path is well built. Do not follow others onto the exposed summit towers, and treat snow or ice as a different winter-mountaineering undertaking.
