Nevada · Neon, desert & late nights

Las Vegas,
at your pace.

Start with the spectacle. Find the food and art beyond the Strip. Then give the desert a day of its own. Choose a city break or build your trip around the race.

City lights or race nights?

A first visit and an event weekend need different plans. These saved routes keep the choices together.

The City Break starts with six saved days; its shorter variations are separate plans. F1 dates and access rules belong to the official organizer. Tickets and hotels are booked separately.

Two decisions that shape the trip

Pick a base.
Know the full cost.

A low room rate can hide a long transfer or an extra nightly fee. Compare the whole stay before booking.

Where to stay

Center Strip, the north end, downtown or the Arts District? Match actual properties to your days, with a separate access check for race week.

What to budget

Separate room price, resort fee, taxes, parking and card holds. Use a dated fee sample and a worked example to build your own total.

A different side of the city

More than one kind of bright.

Keep each part of the city together, then make space for a trip beyond it.

A word from your curator

I love Las Vegas most when you treat it as more than the Strip: start with the neon spectacle, follow the food and art Downtown, then give the desert a full day of its own. The city rewards a little planning—and plenty of room for surprise.

Make the days work

Before you go.

Choose transport for the actual day. Check time-sensitive details again as your trip approaches.

Walk in clusters

Explore a section of the Strip on foot, then use transport for downtown, AREA15 or a distant hotel. The Monorail serves the east side of the Strip; account for the walk through the resort to its station.

Choose the desert day

Spring and fall are easier starting points for outdoor plans. Summer heat can change the whole day: favor indoor time and check conditions before hiking. Red Rock timed entry applies October–May, 8am–5pm.

Race week is different

Match your hotel to the ticketed entrance, not the track on a map. Road closures, security and pedestrian detours change the journey. Ordinary-week driving estimates do not apply.
