Las Vegas · build the day around the main event

Keep the city days together.

Start with the Strip, give downtown its own day, then alternate bigger outings with time indoors. The starting route has six days. Choose the four-day variation for a shorter visit; it omits Hoover Dam and the final history-and-food day.

Choose your trip length

The six-day starting plan includes two out-of-city outings. For four days, select the saved four-day variation; for two or three, prioritize the Strip and downtown instead of squeezing in every desert trip.

Budget the complete day

Shows, museum entries and the desert vehicle are separate bookings. Check the selected production’s age rules; nightlife stops need ID and age checks. Keep meals, tips and transport visible in the budget.

Access and transport check

Use rideshare, taxis or transit between city clusters. Book a car or a return tour for the desert. Red Rock’s Scenic Drive needs timed entry October 1–May 31, 8am–5pm, plus the entrance fee. Summer heat can make a planned hike unsuitable. Confirm the Hoover Dam tour and screening rules before the drive.

Your 6-day route at a glance

Explore Las Vegas

Start with this expert-curated route, then customize the days and stops in your trip. Stays below are suggestions; availability depends on your dates.

Day 1Strip Icons & ShowLas Vegas

Plan the day: Keep the Strip walk around Bellagio and your show venue. Cross at marked crossings or pedestrian bridges and allow time inside large resorts. Reserve the actual production and check its age policy before choosing the evening.

If plans change: In hot weather, shorten the outdoor walk and use the Conservatory as an indoor stop. The show is a separate ticket; the saved stop is not a reservation.

Things to do

  1. Las Vegas Strip Icons Walk2-4h
  2. Bellagio Fountains & Conservatory1h
  3. Big Vegas Stage Show2-3h

Suggested stay

Day 2Old Vegas After DarkLas Vegas

Plan the day: Travel to downtown once, then group the Mob Museum, Fremont Street and the Neon Museum. Reserve a Neon Museum entry and leave time to reach it; it is a separate stop north of the Fremont canopy.

If plans change: Choose one museum if a late start leaves too little time. The saved city walk and Fremont stop overlap geographically; they do not require two separate walks.

Things to do

  1. Las Vegas City Walks2h
  2. Fremont Street Experience1-2h
  3. The Mob Museum2-4h
  4. Neon Museum1-2h

Suggested stay

Day 3Red Rock & Arts DistrictLas Vegas

Plan the day: Give Red Rock Canyon the first part of the day. Arrange a return vehicle or a tour before leaving the Strip. The Scenic Drive requires timed entry October 1–May 31, 8am–5pm, in addition to the entrance fee. Leave Brewery Row for the evening.

If plans change: Use a scenic outing suited to conditions, or stay in the city when heat makes hiking unsafe. Do not rely on finding a rideshare for the return from a trailhead.

Things to do

  1. Red Rock Canyon Scenic Loop & Hike3-5h
  2. Las Vegas Arts District & Brewery Row2-4h

Suggested stay

Day 4Immersive Vegas & ResetLas Vegas

Plan the day: Book Omega Mart for the time you want, then leave the rest of the day loose. AREA15 access and individual experiences have separate ticket rules. Pool and spa access depend on your hotel, season and booking.

If plans change: Choose either a substantial immersive visit or a spa treatment. A saved pool stop does not include a cabana, treatment or day pass.

Things to do

  1. AREA15 & Omega Mart2-4h
  2. Resort Pool & Spa Reset2-5h

Suggested stay

Day 5Hoover Dam & High RollerLas Vegas

Plan the day: Treat Hoover Dam as the main outing. Confirm the tour product, screening requirements and return transport. The High Roller is an optional evening choice after returning to the Strip.

If plans change: Keep the High Roller flexible if the dam visit runs long. Check current tour restrictions with Reclamation rather than assuming every ticket enters the same spaces.

Things to do

  1. Hoover Dam Day Trip2-4h
  2. The LINQ Promenade & High Roller1-2hOptional add-on

Suggested stay

Day 6Atomic History & FoodLas Vegas

Plan the day: The Atomic Museum is east of the Strip, while the food tour is downtown. Allow a transfer and book the actual food-tour meeting point before setting times. Leave cocktail stops optional.

If plans change: Choose history or a longer downtown food visit if you need to leave today. Reserve enough time to collect bags and reach the airport; nightlife and alcohol activities need age checks.

Things to do

  1. Atomic Museum1-3h
  2. Downtown Las Vegas Food Tour3h
  3. Cocktail Bars & Speakeasies1-2hOptional add-on

Before booking

Keep the important details close.

Choose the season for the day

City visits work throughout the year, with more indoor time in summer. A desert outing needs a current heat and access check. The F1 route is tied to the confirmed event dates, not every November weekend.

Use the final room total, including mandatory fees and taxes. Keep parking and any temporary card hold separate. The route does not include a hotel, show ticket or race admission.

Check documents and access

Confirm the current identification and entry rules for your flight and passport. Ask venues about age restrictions and accessible entrances before paying; the saved plan is a starting point, not proof of eligibility or access.
