When to visit Jordan

Compare a spring or autumn walking trip with summer heat and winter conditions. The Dead Sea coast, Petra’s highlands and Wadi Rum nights need different expectations.

Make the trip fit you

Make these choices work together

Spring and autumn

Fyno’s saved destination favors April, May, October and November. Use those as planning preferences, then check actual temperatures, water-trail operation and current travel advice. [1][4]

Summer heat changes the day

Keep exposed Petra walking and desert outings away from the hottest part of the day where possible. A shaded break and fewer stops are more useful than forcing the full saved list. [3]

Winter is not a water-trail promise

FCDO describes November–March flash-flood risk and snow that can block roads around Petra. The saved routes include winter months, but Mujib canyoning requires an independent opening check. [3][4]

Questions before you go

Does a listed route month guarantee access?

No. The source months describe a curated starting plan. Current roads, weather, trail operation and the traveler’s circumstances still determine whether its activities fit. [3][4]

Do I need a separate guide for every month?

Choose the seasonal constraints first. This guide groups months with the same decisions instead of repeating the route under twelve titles.
