Santa Claus' Main Post Office

Santa Claus' Main Post Office is a working postal stop where a handwritten greeting becomes a small souvenir of the Arctic Circle. Cards, stamps and the special postmark make this a hands-on pause that children can take part in without another long organised outing.

Allow about thirty minutes to choose a card, write your message and buy the appropriate postage at the village post office on Tähtikuja. Longer queues may build during the Christmas rush. This is its own short visit rather than a reason to allocate an entire day to the village.

Entry is free, while stationery, postage and optional Santa letters cost extra. Choose the correct posting arrangement: the special red box holds mail for Christmas, so it is unsuitable when you want an ordinary immediate dispatch. Check the seasonal opening hours before bringing children with cards ready to send.
