I’d put Kew Gardens on the list for a garden visit.
More about this place
Kew Gardens is a botanical landscape where living collections and remarkable glasshouses make plants the main event. Tropical foliage, seasonal colour and quieter outdoor paths give the visit a rhythm very different from central London's museums and streets.
Set aside about four hours within the gardens and choose a route that balances the glasshouses with the outdoor collections that suit the season. Use the official map to select an entrance close to your rail journey; Kew has several gates and limited parking. Travel time from your London base is additional.
Book garden admission and check opening times for both the grounds and individual attractions. Glasshouse access can change during conservation work, and a winter event ticket is not automatically a daytime garden ticket. Wear shoes for extended walking and bring a layer for the contrast between warm interiors and exposed paths.
