Broken Beach and Angel's Billabong, located a short walk from each other, are stunning natural sights that are a must on Nusa Penida.

Broken Beach, also known as Pasih Uug, is a unique circular beach enclosed by towering cliffs and rocky formations. The clear turquoise waters of the ocean flow into a natural pool surrounded by cliffs, creating a mesmerizing sight. Take a walk along the cliffs to enjoy the breathtaking views of the ocean and capture stunning photos of the beach and its surroundings.

Angel's Billabong is a natural infinity pool surrounded by cliffs and is formed by the erosion of rocks over time. The clear, emerald-green waters of the pool are a sight to behold, and swimming in the natural pool is amazing experience on its own. It is essential to be cautious and stay within the designated areas as the currents can be dangerous.

Nusa Penida

Nusa Penida is a remote exotic island accessible by a ferry or a private boat with your guided tour. There is no wrong option though: if you like stress-free logistics – we recommend a guided tour, and if you like to explore at your own pace – here is what you need to know:

Take a taxi to Sanur Harbor. If you arrive on your scooter or car – there is a parking lot where you can drop it off. Once at the harbor, there are a few vendors, but we recommend buying tickets for Mola-Mola Express which is one of the fastest and safest options and will take you to the island in about 30 minutes. It costs around $10 one way.

Keep in mind that Nusa Penida became quite popular in recent years, so we recommend taking one of the earliest ferries at 8:30 am, and to ensure you have a ticket for that day – it's better to be at the ticket office at 7:30-ish.

Also keep in mind that Nusa Penida is a big island and almost impossible to explore on foot, so you'll need to rent a scooter or a driver to explore the island.

And last but not least – the last ferries back depart at 4:30 pm, so make sure you make it back in time. If you decide on staying overnight at the island – reach out to your hotel and they will help with the logistics around the island.
