Angel's Billabong is a natural infinity pool surrounded by cliffs and is formed by the erosion of rocks over time. The clear, emerald-green waters of the pool are a sight to behold, and swimming in the natural pool is amazing experience on its own. It is essential to be cautious and stay within the designated areas as the currents can be dangerous.

Broken Beach & Angel Billabong

Crystal Bay is a popular beach on the west coast of Nusa Penida. It is known for its super-clear turquoise water and white sand beach, making it an ideal spot for swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing. The beach is surrounded by beautiful coral reefs and colorful marine life, making it a great spot for underwater exploration.

Apart from the beautiful beach, Crystal Bay is also famous for its stunning sunsets. You can relax on the beach and watch the sun go down behind the horizon, creating a beautiful orange and pink sky. The beach also offers several small local eateries and cafes where you can enjoy a drink or some local snacks while taking in the breathtaking scenery.

While the bay could be one of the most beautiful on Bali, we we should warn you if you are looking for a perfectly relaxing vibe. Local businessmen sometimes fight for every new person arriving at the beach and try to sell a spot on their loungers pretty aggressively, making the relaxation vibe to go away pretty quickly.

Crystal Bay

Diamond Beach is a beautiful and secluded beach on the east coast of Nusa Penida. The beach is known for its crystal-clear turquoise water and pristine white sand, which makes it a perfect spot for swimming, sunbathing, and taking in the stunning scenery.

One of the unique features of Diamond Beach is the large natural rock formation that divides the beach in half. You can walk through a small cave to reach the other side of the beach and enjoy even more stunning views of the ocean and surrounding cliffs.

The beach can be accessed by a steep staircase and is best visited during low tide. While the climb back can be a bit challenging, the breathtaking views and pristine beach make it well worth the effort.

Diamond Beach

Kelingking is an iconic beach that is famous for its stunning views of the Indian Ocean and its unique rock formation that resembles a T-Rex dinosaur.

You can enjoy epic views right from the viewing point near the parking lot, but we recommend hiking down to the beach itself. The cliffside is steep but well-maintained and offers unique views every step of the way. It usually takes an hour to go down and back up. Once at the beach, you can enjoy crystal clear waters, white sand beaches, and the towering T-Rex around you.

While the beach was considered an off-the-beaten-path experience in Bali not far ago, it now gets crowded closer to mid-day, so we recommend visiting first thing in the morning after you arrive on the island.

Kelingking Beach

Thousand Islands Viewpoint is a stunning scenic viewpoint and a very popular photo spot. It offers panoramic views of the crystal-clear waters of the Indian Ocean, as well as the small islands dotting the horizon. The viewpoint is perched on a cliff and can be accessed by a short trek uphill.

The viewpoint is a popular spot for photography because of the famous Rumah Pohon treehouses (you can stay here; check out curated stays section). You can also enjoy a picnic on the grassy area near the viewpoint while taking in the stunning scenery.

The Thousand Islands Viewpoint is a must-visit destination in Nusa Penida, especially for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts. It offers a glimpse of the island's natural beauty and is a perfect spot for a peaceful getaway from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Nusa Penida

Nusa Penida is a remote exotic island accessible by a ferry or a private boat with your guided tour. There is no wrong option though: if you like stress-free logistics – we recommend a guided tour, and if you like to explore at your own pace – here is what you need to know:

Take a taxi to Sanur Harbor. If you arrive on your scooter or car – there is a parking lot where you can drop it off. Once at the harbor, there are a few vendors, but we recommend buying tickets for Mola-Mola Express which is one of the fastest and safest options and will take you to the island in about 30 minutes. It costs around $10 one way.

Keep in mind that Nusa Penida became quite popular in recent years, so we recommend taking one of the earliest ferries at 8:30 am, and to ensure you have a ticket for that day – it's better to be at the ticket office at 7:30-ish.

Also keep in mind that Nusa Penida is a big island and almost impossible to explore on foot, so you'll need to rent a scooter or a driver to explore the island.

And last but not least – the last ferries back depart at 4:30 pm, so make sure you make it back in time. If you decide on staying overnight at the island – reach out to your hotel and they will help with the logistics around the island.
