Keep Boboli with Oltrarno
Boboli sits behind the Pitti Palace, across the Arno from the central museum area. Give its slopes and outdoor walking their own allowance; check the current gate and closing time. [5]
Florence gardens & Medici villa outings
Choose Boboli for an outdoor Florence day, La Petraia for a villa in the northern hills, or Poggio a Caiano for a separate town excursion. Each needs its own access and travel check.

Choose one villa excursion
La Petraia and Poggio a Caiano are outside the compact centre. Check their individual visitor information and the return journey; the saved day also lists Pisa, which should be an alternative rather than another compulsory visit.

Questions before you go
Are these three gardens a single walking circuit?
No. Boboli is in Florence’s Oltrarno, La Petraia is in the northern hills and Poggio a Caiano is another town. Compare the transport before combining them.
Does a museum ticket include every garden?
Confirm the exact venue and ticket inclusions with the operator. The collection groups visit choices and does not act as a combined admission pass. [5]
