House on Fire is a popular photography destination located in the South Fork of Mule Canyon. It is named for the striking resemblance the rock formations have to a house on fire when the sunlight hits it just right. The ruins themselves are not very large, but they are still a fascinating piece of history to behold.

The hike to House on Fire is roughly 2.5 miles round-trip and is considered a moderate hike with some scrambling and steep sections. The trail is well-marked and leads hikers through the beautiful Mule Canyon, surrounded by towering red rock cliffs.
