Ubud Palace, also known as Puri Saren Agung, is a cultural landmark and royal palace located in the heart of Ubud. It is a prime example of Balinese architecture and design, featuring ornate carvings, sculptures, and traditional paintings. The palace was built during the 16th century and is still home to the royal family of Ubud. The palace is open to the public, allowing to explore the gardens, courtyards, and central pavilion. The pavilion serves as a performance stage for traditional Balinese dances โ€“ Legong and Barong. The dance performances are very unique and mesmerizing, so we strongly recommend also visiting from 7:30 to 9:00 pm if you want to experience unique Balinese culture. In addition to the cultural performances, the palace also houses a museum showcasing artifacts and historical objects related to the royal family of Ubud. You can learn about the history of the palace and the region, as well as the customs and traditions of the Balinese people. The palace is a must-visit destination for those interested in history, art, and culture, and offers a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of Bali.
