Make the trip fit you

Choose what fits your journey

Choose the meeting village before the outing

A Río Lagartos boat outing and Las Coloradas salt-pond visit are different experiences. Confirm the departure, visitor route and return, then allow the onward journey to the saved Las Coloradas stay. Do not promise flamingos or a particular shade of pink.

Allow for the actual journey

Río Lagartos is the boat departure town; Las Coloradas is a separate coastal village to the east. Both saved stays are at Las Coloradas. Do not use their source group as the boat meeting point.

A sensible time allowance

Use at least a full day for an out-of-town archaeological or water outing once transport and entry are included. A town walk can fit arrival or an evening; keep a long transfer out of an already full sightseeing programme.

Arrange the actual Río Lagartos departure with an authorised operator. The itinerary, wildlife sightings and ability to sail depend on conditions and reserve rules; a Las Coloradas stay is a separate transfer.

Sources & planning notes

Fyno’s committed website catalog was reviewed against a read-only live source on November 5, 2026. Linked operational sources were checked separately where cited. Recheck admission, transport and property details for your dates. Pins show locations, not a routed journey. Prices and availability require a dated provider check.
