Summer features the best weather and vibes. The days are sunny but not hot, towns are relaxed. The only downside is the occasional crowds, but it never gets too busy.

It gets beautiful in the fall when snowy peaks start contrasting with foliage. It starts to become chilly, but most sights and trails are still open and the crowds are pretty much gone.

Switzerland transforms into a totally different place during winter with some of the best ski resorts in the world. But most of the attractions lose their appeal, so we do not recommend winters except for a ski escape.
