The Old Bookstore is one of Iceland's oldest, continuously operating shops, having been run by the same family since 1914. And you have the opportunity to stay in the upper floor of the store, which was the home of the bookstore’s founder, Jón, and his wife, Guðrún.

Their living quarters have been left untouched since 1950, offering you a rare chance to step back in time and experience a piece of Icelandic heritage firsthand​.

Located in the picturesque Westfjords region, this unique bookstore preserves its historic charm with original furnishings and decor that have remained unchanged since the early 20th century.
